Its a pity, MEN in BLUE!!

Its a pity, MEN in BLUE!!

INDIA LOSES MISERABLY!!!

TOP ORDER CRUMBLES YET AGAIN!!!

SERIES WHITEWASH IN THE CARRIBEAN!!!

PROTEAS MAKE MINCE MEAT OUT OF INDIA!!!

These are just some of the headlines that has been hitting the leading dailies over the past few months. It is nothing but a clear cut view on the men in blue- the Indian cricket team...

Nowadays the critics, specialists, visual media and the print media have been asking the same question over and over again- What is the root cause for the repeated misery of the team?????????????????????????????

When you are in Rome , behave like the Romans...Taking this cue, I too pondered over this debacle of the team... My conclusions..

  • The so called greats of the team failing repeatedly....... Sachin, Sehwag, Ganguly... these supposedly great players who are past their prime are making the team a laughing stock. They score once in a blue moon, and the nation and selectors seem to be happy when they score a ton out of the blue moon. The justification that they have scored more than 10k runs is absurd. Then why in the world do we change a car after it covers a specified distance. Man is like a machine. He undergoes wear and tear and has to be replaced after sometime. Its high time the selectors take a bold stand and drop these players

  • Too much of experiments.......... Coach Greg Chapell is doing wonders by experimenting various combinations. But with his limited powers, he has to try out different combinations with a few players alone. The players whom he get to work with are selected with a political bias. The real cream of talent is lost in this made race for money, power and prestige.

  • Do we lack in quality players??????.......... Its really shameful that a country with 1/6th of the world population has not yet produced a single world class athlete. Is there not a single individual who can win a gold medal in the olympics? Now we come to the bigger picture. India is a country where cricket is a religion. Because of this, other sports are neglected. Thousands of budding youngsters in tennis, badminton, swimming etc drop their dreams halfway due to the lack of sponsors and funding. This is just because of the cricket mania among the people, and hence ad companies are not ready to concentrate on other games. Even after all this attention to cricket( at the cost of other sports) , its not paying dividends, jus further misery. Its a pity to witness this....

  • Lack of infrastructure......... This is the subject on which a hue and cry is made after every loss. For the last 60 years we have been hearing this same lame excuse. Nothing has been done even after this blame game......

  • "Fools Game" " A battle for survival where a poor guy has to defend himself with a thin stick" These were the famous words of Bernhard Shaw(though incorrectly quoted by me :D) ...
Its high time that either we quit encouraging this silly game and focus on several other brilliant games which are physically and mentally more challenging than a game that takes a whole day away from us or take immediate strong measures and take the men in blue and the country to the zenith of glory..

i would also like to add on what i think about our chance in worldcup 07..
NIL!!!!!( its nt pessimism, but unshameful acceptance of the raw truth).....

I expect the aussies to win this time.. (though in the heart of hearts i expect mera bharat to win).......

An unusual usual day!!!

Time : 2 am

the alarms shrilly sound woke me up.. for a moment i was wonderin "where in the world i was"..slowly i prodded my eyes open.. the clock showed 2 am.. i forced myself frm the bed.. then thoughts rushed to me.. I had kept the alarm to start the movie "manmadhan" download.. so kickin and gruntin i switched on my system, and after wat seemed like a year, i somehow managed to start the download .. n like a person deprived of food for days.. i ran and hit the bed and fell into a deep sleep in a jiffy...

Time : 9 am

Its said that the dreams start about 5 minutes before you wake up.. As usual it was another of my nightmares or rather dhiru the wonder super hero stuff... I rescued a damsel in distress from a TRex...:D... suddenly the world seemed to shaking around me.. it was then that i realised that it was nothing more than my mother trying to wake me up..

Time : 11am

With plans to zoom around in my car, i took it for a ride.. but to my horror , the traffic was hell.. it seems, there was some crap rally by some so called stars of cine industry.. i felt like tyin those jerks and send them to the gallows.. after a bumpy ride, drove into eden park.. a milkshake there rejuvenised me..

Time : 1.30 pm

SBT intel teens quiz... Got to hear from my friends that the quiz that i used to attend since my school days was at 2pm.. i went to the venue asap jus to find my friends waitin lazily. the quiz wud start only by 3.. and as if they heard my groanin stomach, we were served snacks and cool drinks.. the quiz for school sudents started at 2.. n as if to energise me , i gt a sitter as the the 1st audience question and managed to get a pen:D... as the crowd built up for the cllg quiz, i saw law academy and medical college guys... the fact is that those guys are miles ahead of all other quizzers in trivandrum.. so on the periphery i knew the results though in the heart of hearts i hoped for an upset victory..

Time : 3 pm

Prelims... results came and by gods grace , sangeeth and i managed to enter the finals...and as i feared the finals was really embarassing for us:p.. as expected law academy won with medical college on a close second.. but my spirits was nt all down, as we gt a consolation prize..

Time : 8 pm

I was waiting at trivandrum central railway station to send off my bro to calicut.. It was like a market place as most people were only too happy to get back home for the string of 4 holidays.... a market place with lots of beautiful girls flocking around:D...

Time : 10pm

Like the last 2.5 years in life, i was online... as usual , orkuting , chatting, and surfing around...

Time : 12 pm

Hit the sack...

This is the monotonous kind of life i have been having over the past few weeks. Its making me real bored with life. Why is life so uneventful? I am trying to enlighten myself on the various facts of life. but cant conclude on anything. After all it took buddha several years of penance to see the light, so i guess it wil take me decades or perhaps centuries before i uncover the truth of life.:D

The only consolation or solace i have is my occassional crushes on film stars .. :D these crushes from time to time keeps me goin on with life..

i welcome all comments on what you think about life? the monotoneity ? and what you think to overcome these??

PS: I was forced to write something in the blog by a very good friend of mine. And thanks to her, i made a second post in a blog finally.... Special hugsis to that dear friend...:)
